More small watercolors of this boy in even more jackets! I am so ready for fall. Messed with his shapes/design, and practiced glazing graded washes.
Also, found a good mix for splotchy light denim! The pants in the left one were way too teal, and when I layered a tiny thin wash of red oxide on top, it not only neutralized but added texture.

My co-workers commented on my shoes today. They said they looked like doll shoes or like someone just had whiped them clean from blood after a murder. They probably didn’t mean it in a good way, yet still…

It made me strangely happy.

if you dont have me on facebook you are probably not missing out on any posts but the comment section is important too lmao

I went to the Renaissance faire dressed as a warrior.  I had a real sword with me, too.  I was standing (in character) next to a sword-fighting ring, where kids of all ages got the chance to pick up a sword and challenge the champion.  Some woman walks by, with her little girl.  The girl starts walking towards the ring, saying she wants to fight.  But the mom pulled her away hella sharply, and was like, “That’s for boys.”  You don’t want to be a BOY, do you?”    And the girl looked around and saw me.  I think she thought I was a boy; I had my hair in a ponytail, and was wearing a hood.  So she comes up to me and asks me, “Do you think girls can be fighters, too?”  And her mom looks like she’s silently gloating.  Like she thinks I’m going to say no.  So I take off my hood, untie my hair so that it flows freely, and kneel before her.  And I’m like, “Milady, anyone can be a fighter.”  I swear, the look on that mother’s face made my day.

DIY  Potion and Spell Book Tutorial from Better After. This is a really good tutorial using plastic toys, a glue gun, cardstock, paper towels etc… This DIY is based on a tutorial by SEEING THINGS - my favorite Halloween Blog that had great printables and tutorials and is now DEAD & GONE. This is why if I see a printable I like, I don’t wait until later to download it.

Next DIY project, yes?

A sketch I did some days ago of a new OC. Her name is Kara.
She was born as kind of a counterpart to all the insanely cute, sweet, happy and obsessed little murdergirls in anime and manga.

real tears are coming out of my eyes

But the horrible thing here when you think about it is there is no last panel where they turn into a centaur…
